I had originally written this for a friend and thought it should be shared. To my dear brothers and sisters in Christ who recognize their need for God. This verse is for you:
Matthew 5:3
“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of God”
This verse used to confuse me but it is through the Holy Spirit that I was able to understand it better. That phrase “ poor in spirit” is not about being spiritually weak but about reaching the end of yourself. It is that moment when you’ve done everything you can to stay strong, to hold it all together- and still, it's not enough. You are tired, overwhelmed, worn thin, maybe even feeling like you are falling apart. However, strangely that place… the place where you feel empty is also where something sacred begins. It's where you whisper, “God, I need you.” Trust me, who has felt like this before, He hears you. He hears that whisper, maybe it's not even a whisper but a thought. Maybe in those moments where you can't complete a prayer and you are just filled with tears, trust me when I tell you that He hears your heart. I know what it's like to be filled with tears and not a single word can come out because you feel like you're drowning. He hears it and those moments are not a sign of failure but surrender. A surrender is where healing starts. God never turns away a heart like that. He leans in, meets you where you are- no shame, no condemnation- just grace. Grace that restores, grace that washes you clean. Grace that carries you home. Through Jesus, He offers not just comfort but new life. He is not asking you to be perfect but to come to Him. Life won't magically become easy, but you will never walk it alone again. He will guide you just like a shepherd guides His sheep. He will protect you and go before you.

Whatever feels broken right now, know this:
God can restore it
Revelations 21:5 “He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
He still heals the broken hearted
Psalm 147:3 “ He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.”
He still redeems
Psalm 130:7 “O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption.
Psalm 34:22 “ The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.”
He is not done with you.
Jeremiah 29:11 “ For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare[a] and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Brokenness is not the end when God is present.
